Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 1 January 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with California Superbike School UK ("CSSUK"), operated by Global Motorcycle Events Ltd ("GME").

By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

1. Your Booking

Your booking secures a place for one named rider on:

  • A specific event date

  • A specific circuit

  • A specific school level

Once your booking has been confirmed, it forms a binding agreement between California Superbike School UK and the participant.

Bookings cannot be shared between riders.

Bookings may only be transferred to another rider with the prior written consent of the Head of Operations.

2. Booking the Correct Level

It is the responsibility of every participant to ensure they book onto the correct school level.

All students begin at Level 1 and must complete each level in sequence unless prior written approval has been granted by the Head of Operations.

Should a participant book the incorrect level and there is no availability on the correct level, California Superbike School reserves the right to refuse participation.

3. Rider Eligibility

Participants must hold one of the following:

  • Full UK Motorcycle Licence

  • A2 Motorcycle Licence with an appropriate motorcycle

  • ACU Competition Licence (subject to prior approval)

It is the participant's responsibility to ensure they meet the licence requirements before booking.

4. Rider Responsibility

All participants ride entirely at their own risk.

Each participant is responsible for ensuring:

  • They are medically fit to ride.

  • Their motorcycle is safe and suitable for circuit use.

  • Their riding equipment complies with California Superbike School requirements.

  • They follow all instructions issued by California Superbike School staff.

5. Motorcycle Requirements

All motorcycles must:

  • Pass circuit scrutineering.

  • Comply with circuit noise limits.

  • Be mechanically safe.

  • Have suitable tyres.

  • Have fully functioning brakes and controls.

California Superbike School reserves the right to refuse any motorcycle considered unsafe.

6. Riding Equipment

The minimum riding equipment is:

  • One-piece leather suit or fully zipped two-piece leathers

  • Full-face ACU Gold approved helmet

  • Leather motorcycle gloves

  • Full-height motorcycle boots

  • Full-length back protector where required by the circuit

Textile clothing is not permitted unless specifically stated otherwise.

7. Payment

Full payment must be received before the event.

California Superbike School reserves the right to cancel any booking where payment has not been received by the required payment date.

8. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Transfers

California Superbike School commits significant costs immediately following every booking, including circuit hire, instructors, support staff, medical cover, catering and event logistics.

For this reason, the following policy applies to all cancellations, requests to reschedule and non-attendance, regardless of the reason, including but not limited to:

  • Illness

  • Injury

  • Family emergencies

  • Work commitments

  • Weather conditions

  • Motorcycle breakdown

  • Motorcycle theft

  • Travel disruption

  • Acts of God

  • Or any other unforeseen circumstance.

Refunds

California Superbike School does not issue refunds once a booking has been confirmed.

More than 30 days before your booked event

You may cancel your booking and receive a California Superbike School voucher for the full booking value less a £25 administration fee.

The voucher:

  • Is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

  • May be redeemed against any California Superbike School UK event during its validity.

  • May only be transferred to another rider with the prior written approval of the Head of Operations.

Less than 30 days before your booked event

No refund, voucher or transfer to another event will be issued.

Transfer to Another Rider

If you are unable to attend within 30 days of your booked event, you may transfer your place to another rider only with the prior written approval of the Head of Operations, provided:

  • The replacement rider meets all eligibility requirements.

  • The replacement rider undertakes the same course level.

  • Any hired equipment remains with the transferred booking.

9. Failure to Attend

If you:

  • Fail to attend.

  • Arrive late.

  • Are unable to ride.

  • Are medically unfit.

  • Choose not to ride.

  • Are excluded from participation.

Your booking fee will be forfeited.

No refund, voucher or transfer will be available.

10. Alcohol & Drugs

Alcohol and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.

California Superbike School reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

No refund, voucher or transfer will be issued.

11. Lap Timers & Recording Equipment

Lap timing devices are prohibited.

Video recording equipment may only be used with the prior approval of Course Control.

The decision of Course Control is final.

12. Adverse Weather

California Superbike School cannot control weather conditions.

Events will proceed wherever it is safe and practical to do so.

Weather conditions alone do not entitle participants to a refund, voucher or transfer.

13. Event Cancellation

Should California Superbike School cancel an event due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, management may, at its sole discretion, offer an alternative event date or an alternative remedy.

If an alternative event is offered but cannot be attended, no refund will be issued unless required by law.

14. Force Majeure

California Superbike School shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations where prevented from doing so by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Extreme weather

  • Fire

  • Flood

  • Pandemic

  • Government restrictions

  • Circuit closure

  • Terrorism

  • Industrial action

  • Power failure

  • Acts of God

15. Photography & Video

California Superbike School may use photographs and video footage taken during events for promotional purposes.

By attending the event you consent to such use unless you notify us in writing before the event.

16. Data Protection

Personal information will only be used for administering your booking and delivering California Superbike School services.

Information may be shared with trusted partners where necessary to operate the event.

17. Right to Refuse Participation

California Superbike School reserves the right to refuse or terminate participation where a participant:

  • Places themselves or others at risk.

  • Fails to follow instructions.

  • Behaves in an unsafe or abusive manner.

  • Fails to comply with circuit regulations.

No refund, voucher or compensation will be payable.

18. Interpretation of These Terms

These Terms & Conditions form the entire agreement between California Superbike School UK and the participant.

In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms & Conditions and any information published elsewhere, including FAQs, website pages, promotional material, social media or email correspondence, these Terms & Conditions shall take precedence.

Only written confirmation from the Head of Operations may vary these Terms & Conditions in exceptional circumstances.

19. Amendments

California Superbike School reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

All bookings remain subject to the version of the Terms & Conditions that was in force on the date the booking was made.
